ArduBlock is a block programming language for Arduino.
i have made a translation in french of ardublock !
i you want to test it :
i’m teaching in a college in France in technology and i want to use arduino with students. Ardublock is a very very great application for IDE. It simplifies the programming and i want to use it !
There’s a little “bug” in ardublock, at the end of a certain number of lines, the window does not get bigger. It is thus limited in number of line.
It will be nice if this will be improved.
For information, ardublock should be packaged for debian by a french teacher.
Thanx to Julien for translation :o)
Hope to have news from you,
Good to hear! We just have a new release with translation support. I will update the French support with Julien’s version.
I try to send magician board spec, but my mails are bounced, could send me an alternative mail id. so that I will forward my details.
Thanks & Regards
i have made a translation in german of ardublock !
I have downloaded the ardublock.properties file.
One phrase is missing: it’s an empty phrase and the system told me, that I could not leave it empty.
You wrote, you will contact me when I leave a comment and I can email you the properties.
But I think you can upload it directly from
Thanks a lot
Good post. I’m dealing with many of these issues as well..http://soundcloud.com/groups/watch-supernatural-season-8-episode-6-online-southern-comfort-for-free-in-hd-streaming
That’s a skillful answer to a diicufflt question
Excellent site very good explanation soon hope to visit, highly recommended. I Fount it Google, Yahoo.
Inspired by the wonderful work done by you … I decided to use this tool and I continued with the translation work.
I think my changes will serve to any language, because I use the default properties to facilitate the translations of the elements ToolTip.
PS: How do i commit ?
I’m split among these sets:
I want to try out robotics. Which one would you recommend?
They are both awesome. Currently, the DFRobot set gets better support with Ardublock and we are working on support for Grove.
I guess I need an arduino uno for it. What else? I have zero knowledge about electronics. My impresion is the grove is better to try out programming as it contains an oled display.
You need a Uno with Grove and it looks like DFRobot’s kit comes with a Uno already.
I am an IT professor from Greece. ArduBlock is a great tool for teaching computer programming. I have completed Greek translation in http://translate.ardublock.com/ two weeks ago, but the translation is still reported as “100% Translated but not yet approved”
I would like to know what have to be done for Greek translation to be approved and when the Greek version of ArduBlock will be available for downloading.
Thanks a lot.
Done! We have updated the Greek translation. Thanks for your effort!

Are there any efforts doing an ardublock for the beaglebone?
Yes, we are looking into bringing Ardublock to the Linux based board like BeagleBone or Cubieboard.
What is the current status of the development of ardublock? The i2C module is not updated with the 1.0 series of the Arduino IDE and is a very useful feature.
Hi Jose, we are working on a new version and should be out soon. Will update the I2C support with this version as well.
Thank you for your answer, I have been tryng to compile from source with eclipse in ubuntu and I get errors and warnings like the ones below.
“Access restriction: The type SourceVersion is not accessible due to restriction on required library /usr/lib/jvm/java-7-openjdk-amd64/jre/lib/rt.jar”

Any idea what could be the problem?
i m teacher in france, i would like to teach arduino to my student.
they are middle school age between 10 and 15 years old.
and ardubock is the solution i would like to use for teaching arduino to my student.
but to thing are wrong for me :
– i would like to use seed grove and you have only 2 modules of it in ardublock.
– we work with a server and student connect on the station via there profils.
and ardublock is in the profils is it possible to put it in the forder of arduino in programme file ?
if ardublock stay in the profile due to the school, i can t use ardublock.
thanks for you re great work
Thanks for the note. We are talking to SeeedStudio about this now. 😉
At first thank you for your ARDUBLOCK software. For me it is the best solution!!!!
If I contact you is because I want to propose Arduino solution for French colleges. Indeed, in the French school, Arduino is very very rarely used! Instead, we use expensive solutions inadequate and “closed” … We’re a little “beast” in France!
But things seem to be changing and everyone agrees: Ardublock is the best solution! Really!
But it lacks a little something to distribute Ardublock in all colleges of France: Seeed Grove …
If you develop “Grove” in Ardublock you saved France! As against the party, I am committed to creating the French help videos.
I am the manager of a small business that strives to give the Arduino place it deserves …
How can I help you? What can I do for you?
PS: thank you for all French children you will save!

Hi all i have just started using ardublock and compliments on an awesome program its speed up and simplified allot of things ive been doing in arduino as i hate typing all the masses of coding. just a few questions though. i have been trying to find an explanation or tutorial that covers all the functions of all the ardublocks functions and its structure it has a few blocks that i cant work out there functions and i cant find any decent tutorials explaining much past a basic led flash sketch. . from what i can see so far allot of the blocks that relate to a preset library eg “digital servo out” block could have a few more options like servo speed. also an idea for a few new blocks would be, a block that would allow and contain the control coding to be able to do rc rx pwm signals into arduino 255 values, same as the blocks like the analog and digital in just literaly a reverse function of the “servo block”. also as well as some more of the timing functions like “pulsein()” … the conversion or “map block” to convert analog to pwm values, the conversion range is set to 1024-255 it would be awsome if this was adjustable in ardublock to save jumping back and forward to ardu ide to make adjustments each time i upload a sketch to a board. once again thank you for an amazing program i think these would be great additions to an already awesome program.
Ardublock works only parly with Arduino MEGA.
Could you please update the program so i can use all in/outputs of the MEGA board?
Hi, could we have more information about how it’s not working with MEGA? Thanks!
i m trying ardublock-all-20130712
and the linker kit doesn t work
when i click on tranfer when there is a linker kit block in ardublock, nothing append ??
when i delete the linker kit block with a wrong diagram, the transfer is ok ???? some idea
Thanks for the reply. We will look into this.
We are removing linkerkit support for now. Their contribution wasn’t completed with the backend code generation.
I am teaching in a college in France in technollogy, ans I work now with Ardublock.
Is it possible to forbiden the access to subroutine, my student will only use this subroutine ?
Hi, it’s nice to hear from you. What do you mean by restrict access to subroutine?
This looks really good but I was wondering if you had any plans to allow subroutines some way?
There is a subroutine and we are working on version to support parameters.
I want down load this Ardublock and please send the user guide.
If i want purchase what is cost? The user guide should be in English
I have installed the Arduino IDE version 1.8.2 and tried to upload an example on my Arduino UNO board using the ArduBlock, but I got just a lot of errors related to Java :
“Exception in thread “AWT-EventQueue-0″ java.lang.NoSuchMethodError:processing.app.Editor.setText(Ljava/lang/String;) … ”
The IDE is working very well, also the S4A scratch version for Arduino works well.
I just started learning how to use the Arduino with my daughter some weeks ago, I will apreciate any help. Thanks!
(I use Windows 10, 64-Bit)
will you be updating Ardublocks for the latest Arduino IDE? 1.6.11 seems to be the last working version with the latest IDE
